Assignment Requirements: Build a dynamic 3-D component by importing a 3D model into Max and manipulating it using generative and/or sequential algorithms. It must be transmodal.

A short animation created in MaxMSP inspired by Joshua Kyan Aalampour's composition "Enemies to Lovers." The story follows two ghosts and their waltz. Despite Max's limitations on movement of 3D objects, my goal was to show three states to their waltz in the characterization of their actions: the initial calm of the foreground ghost and curiosity of the entering ghost, the argument between them (signified by them continuously trying to out-scale each other), and lastly, their acceptance to waltz together.

Ghost objects modeled by me in Blender. All movement is timed using sound data and sequencing. Certain frequencies trigger lighting and texture changes in the scene, and movement (hence some 'glitchy' parts). Only one sub-patcher (out of ten) is expanded below for reference.
